This line of research is grounded in the understanding that labor relations are influenced by power dynamics, where historically situated subjects create and recreate their traditions while balancing change and permanence, negotiation and conflict. In this context, labor—understood not only as relations of production—encompasses the experiences of the working classes across various dimensions of life, including demand movements, struggles for social and political rights, cultural expressions, rituals, leisure, and community and family organizations.
