Special student
The Graduate Program in History (PPGH) provides the main guidelines regarding the status of Special Student, in accordance with the General Regulations for Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC).
📜 Definition of Special Student
According to the second and third paragraphs of Resolution No. 17/CEPE, dated December 4, 2015, which approved the General Regulations of UFC’s Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs:
🎓 Special students are those enrolled in stricto sensu graduate programs at other institutions who, at the discretion of the program coordination and with the consent of the instructor responsible for the course, are accepted to take curricular components offered by the Program.
➡️ The maximum limit is 8 (eight) credits for the master’s degree and 16 (sixteen) credits for the doctoral degree.
🧑🎓 On an exceptional basis, and according to the criteria defined in the internal regulations of each Program, active undergraduate students at UFC may take curricular components as special students, respecting the limit of 8 (eight) credits in master’s-level courses.
📢 How to apply as a Special Student at PPGH-UFC
The Graduate Program in History at UFC (PPGH-UFC) accepts, through a specific call for applications, candidates interested in taking courses as Special Students.
