Withdrawals and special arrangements
Applications are only accepted for the current term.
Pregnant students may apply for a Total Withdrawal or Special Regime from the 32nd week of pregnancy (8th month).
Total
Cancellation of enrolment
This is the temporary suspension of the student’s relationship with the institution due to serious illness or maternity leave. If it is due to illness, the student sends an email to pghist@ufc.br explaining the situation so that a case can be opened and at the same time sends the medical certificate with cid to estudantescpase@ufc.br, mentioning the SEI case number, name and enrolment in the body of the email and in the subject field: Total Withdrawal. Acceptance of the withdrawal will mean total withdrawal from the current academic term and the freezing of deadlines for completion.
Special procedure
In this modality, the semester is not interrupted and it is up to the teacher to assign homework during the Special Regime period to compensate for absences from class. According to art. 113 of the UFC General Regulations, it is forbidden to excuse absences.
Withdrawal
This consists of the student withdrawing from a course through SIGAA, according to the date set out in the current University Calendar, with the approval of the supervisor. In this way, only the course indicated will be cancelled for that academic term.
